Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 September 2026 · ThoughtProof LLC

1. Who we are

These terms cover public websites, APIs, and software packages operated by ThoughtProof LLC (30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States), including the open-source thoughtproof-mcp package and related verification services. Contact: raul@thoughtproof.ai.

2. The service

ThoughtProof provides pre-action and claim-verification tools for AI agents and operators. Outputs may include verdicts such as ALLOW, BLOCK, UNCERTAIN, or related soft-fail signals (for example execute: false). A catalog listing, trust score, scanner grade, or publisher badge is a review signal only. It is not authorization to take the next action and not a guarantee that software is risk-free.

3. Accounts, keys, and payment

API access may require keys or account tokens you keep secret. You are responsible for key custody, rotation after exposure, and charges incurred under your credentials. Do not commit live keys to public repositories or paste them into public issues.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law, to bypass safety controls you do not own, to attack third-party systems, or to misrepresent ThoughtProof outputs as human legal, medical, or financial advice. Host applications must honor fail-closed signals from the tools (including execute: false).

5. Open-source packages

Public packages such as thoughtproof-mcp are licensed under their repository license (MIT unless a file says otherwise). The license governs the code; these terms govern use of ThoughtProof-operated endpoints and branding. “Published pin” versions on npm may lag the default git branch; pin a released version for production hosts.

6. No warranty

The websites, APIs, and packages are provided “as is” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Verification results can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThoughtProof LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for actions an agent takes after a verdict. Aggregate liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) fees you paid to ThoughtProof for the service in the three months before the claim or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50).

8. Privacy

Personal-data handling is described in our privacy policy (Datenschutzerklärung). Operator imprint: Impressum.

9. Changes

We may update these terms by posting a new version at this URL. Continued use after the update date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms where permitted by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction apply.
